Ahead of this year’s NIRI Annual Conference, we wanted to share a few sessions we’ve been especially close to.

Our founder and CEO, Harry, served as a conference committee liaison this year, supporting content planning through the education track. Along the way, he had the opportunity to sit in on prep calls and help shape a few of the sessions featured below.

Let’s dive in.

#1 Investor Story Time: Crafting Your Value Proposition

Tuesday, June 3 | 1:00 PM – 1:50 PM
Venue: Marquee Room (Omni, Boston)

Moderator / Speaker: Debbie Belevan (Duolingo)

Panelists: Nick Cabraloff (Whale Rock Capital), April Scee (Riveron)

Most IROs have a solid sense of what matters to investors. But turning that into a clear, consistent, and memorable investor pitch can still be a challenge. This interactive session offers a practical framework to help sharpen your story and communicate your top value drivers with more clarity and confidence.

The prep for this session has been strong, and the content is even stronger. Debbie will share the storytelling framework she uses at Duolingo, while Nick brings a rare investor perspective on what makes a story land — not just as a one-time pitch, but as an ongoing IR strategy. He’ll speak to how storytelling shows up across meetings, calls, and materials, and how IROs can shape messaging that is both consistent and compelling.

April, a former buy- and sell-side analyst and now an advisor at Riveron, will bring a dual perspective to the conversation. She’ll play a key role in providing live feedback to attendees as they test their investor stories in the room.

Why You Should Attend: If you’re reworking your investor messaging or refining how your story shows up across formats, this session will offer practical tools, peer feedback, and a fresh lens from both IR leaders and an active investor.

#2 Perception to Reality: Involving the Investor Perspective in Corporate Strategic Planning

Tuesday, June 3 | 2:00 PM – 2:50 PM
Venue: Ensemble B (Omni, Boston)

Moderator: Mark Hayes (Breakwater Strategy)

Speakers: Debbie Hancock (Lamb Weston), Mark Macaluso (ITT), Amy Wakeham (Solventum)

Investor insights don’t just belong in messaging decks. When shared clearly and early, they can help shape capital allocation, executive compensation, risk strategy, and long-term planning. But bringing those insights into strategic conversations across the business remains a challenge for many IR teams.

This session brings together a group of seasoned IROs who have done exactly that. These panelists have had a seat at the table, helping their companies interpret investor feedback and incorporate it into major business decisions.

Expect a highly structured session, moderated by Mark Hayes (IR thought leader and partner at Breakwater Strategy), who brings sharp questions and thoughtful pacing.

Debbie Hancock (Lamb Weston, formerly Hasbro), Mark Macaluso (ITT), and Amy Wakeham (Solventum) are senior IROs who work closely with C-suites and strategy leaders. They’ll share how they gather feedback, what resonates internally, and how they influence decisions beyond communications.

Why You Should Attend: If you’re looking to build more influence in your company’s planning process or need a stronger way to bring investor insights into internal conversations, this session offers practical ideas and real-world strategies.

#3 Bonus Session: Investor Day that Sticks: Story and Experiences that Shape Perception

Monday, June 2 | 11:35 AM – 11:55 AM
Venue: IR Showcase (Ensemble D-G) – (Omni, Boston)

We’re also hosting a short Express Talk on Investor Days. Many teams are either planning one or rethinking their approach this year. If you’re attending, we’d love for you to join us.

A well-run Investor Day can shift perception, build momentum, and set the tone for the year. To make that happen, you need a story that sticks, and a way to bring it to life.

In this session, we’ll focus on two essentials: how to craft the story for Investor Day, and how to deliver it through experiential moments that leave a lasting impression. We’ll share practical tools and tips we use with clients to shape the narrative, along with creative ideas companies are using to bring that story to life beyond slides. Think product demos, expert panels, innovation breakouts, fireside chats with real customers, or even tours of R&D centers and factories.

Why You Should Attend: Expect meaty tips, backed by real-world examples, that you can apply to your own Investor Day planning, whether you’re just getting started or looking to take it to the next level.
